Yellowstone National Park is located primarily in the U.S. state of Wyoming, although it also extends into Montana and Idaho. Established in 1872 as the first national park in the world, Yellowstone is known for its geothermal features such as geysers, hot springs, and mud pots, as well as its diverse wildlife including grizzly bears, wolves, and bison. The park encompasses over 2.2 million acres and is a popular destination for outdoor recreation such as hiking, camping, and wildlife viewing. Yellowstone is also home to the iconic Old Faithful geyser, which erupts approximately every 90 minutes.
